A NEW PACKAGE OF PROPOSALS

The cochairmen of OSCE Minsk group have prepared a new package of proposals of Karabakh conflict settlement, which they are going to produce during the meeting of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in London. The Russian cochairman of OSCE Minsk group Yuri Merzliakov informed about it to the "Azatutiun" broadcasting station yesterday. "We have reached to the limit when it is necessary to take a political decision of high level and the presidents of both countries must give the Foreign Ministers clear missions,"- Yuri Merzliakov said.

COMPETING WITH HOLLAND

It was found out yesterday that the general trainer of combined team of Armenia, a Frenchman by nationality Bernard Kazony was dismissed from his post. Our combined team by his leadership had lost in 5 games from seven in the selection competition of World War Cup in 2006. The last defeat was with Holland. In short the efficiency of the Frenchman was too low. In this case an unwritten rule acts in the sphere of the sport. Either the trainer is dismissed or the president of the federation/club/ sends in his resignation. We must regret that the rules of the sport sphere don't influent on the policy. The press is discussing very actively one of the publishing of the American "Stratfour" analyzing center where it is supposed that Robert Kocharian and Serge Sargsian will manage to keep the authority only in case of carrying pro-western policy. That means they must work in Moldavian way: the pro-Russian President Voronin kept in time his authority by change of his orientation to the West. And now we discuss if the first figures of the country will try to change their orientation.
Taking a sober view of this such a theme mustn't be a matter of discussion, as the events developing in political life must be developed by the same rules as there are in the sport. If the state develops in wrong way, if the corruption flourishes in the country and the poverty increases it becomes clear that the ruler of that country /that is trainer/ can't fulfill his obligations well. And the opposite if everything is good there is no mean to speak about orientation. The whole distress is that no official will admit his omissions.
So it isn't worth to wait, the authorities will send in their resignation themselves. They need in assistance of an institution like FIFA in the person of Russia or West for staying in the authority. The problem is that who has appointed them, who is their "Ruben Hairapetian" who will be able to dismiss them for bad work?
