These two persons fill the same posts in Armenia and Azerbaijan and even they look like brothers. Can you say their similarity?

IT WILL RISE IN PRICE AT ANY CASE

News that Russian “Gasprom” company are going to rise the price for Armenia too is already known but our Minster of Energy Armen Movsisian denies that news waiting for official announcement about it. «ArmRusGasard» company also waits for the announcement. The Ambassador of Armenia in Russia, different officials of «Gasprom» company and politicians were making obvious announcements a month ago affirming that the gas will rise in price for all CIC countries while ours were thinking that Armenia will be an exception.

Lately the deputy director of “Gasprom” department Alexander Ryazanov affirmed once more in “Russian gas-2005” forum that “the price of gas for 1000 square metre will be 110 Dollar as Armenia as well as in Georgia” that is it will be risen by two times. “Gasprom” has the same conversation in Baltic countries where the price of exporting gas is foreseen to make 120-125 Dollar in 2006 instead of present 80. That means “Gasprom” State company, consequently Russia as a state is led by market logic not distinguishing among its strategic partner Armenia and Georgia or Baltic countries with which it has hostile relations.

All CIC countries are worried about rising in price and they find alternative ways of acquiring cheaper gas. Ours are also among the lists of worried countries. Iran and Armenia approved lately the project of extending the Irani-Armenian gas pipeline to Georgia and Ukraine. Experts think that the Irani gas can reach to Moldova in that way. Iran seems to give price privileges to the CIC countries, which will allow weakening the monopolistic positions of Russian gas. Besides Azerbaijan intends to export its gas to Georgia by minimal prices from 2007.

The chairman of the commission which regulates public services Robert Nazarian said that water, gas and electricity won’t rise in price till 1 of May. Will he keep his promise?
