OSKANIAN'S NEW PEARLS

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Vardan Oskanian declared in the National Academy of Science during his meeting with the academicians yesterday: "It isn't always easy in diplomacy for the conquer side at the battlefield to adopt assailant position." He also mentioned it mustn't try to display the same activity knowing that your raised question can be directed against you as the international activities develop in other way as we do." Where did his assurances remain according to which that no serious country sees the solution of Karabakh issue round territorial integrity of Azerbaijan the Minister of Foreign Affairs kept silence?

WE PROPOSE A ONE-DAY SITTING

No, our deputies were getting tired indeed: let's agree that three days participation once in two weeks needs in superhuman efforts. In addition to the necessity on pushing the bottom from time to time it becomes clear that the elected deputies of the people became emaciated. The work of miners is simply an entertainment comparing with the work of the deputies. Thank God, the Armenian deputies refused of wasting their strength in this way thinking wisely that the nation still needs in them. So they moved amendments in the NA code and call meetings once in three weeks and not two, four days instead of three. But it is obvious that they took that decision hotheaded overestimating their intellectual and physical faculties. They understood late that once in three weeks is also much. First of all for keeping their own health: even in case of such regime either there is no quorum in the parliament or everybody breaks up after registration. They are unable to sit even an hour not to mention four days. Moreover once in three weeks. We propose to go over again the regulations and open meetings once a month not for loosing the health leavings of our deputies and depriving people of deputy corps. One day is quite enough for adopting quickly drafts in the NA agenda. They won't spend a lot of time on discussing those drafts, as the orders from presidential residence aren't under discussion. Consequently there is no point to make efforts besides pushing the bottom; it is simply Sisyphean toil. It is said to adopt so it must be adopted. It remains to take the trouble once a month for registration. There even won't be the necessity of pushing the bottom: the chairman of the NA state juridical commission Rafik Petrosian will do it for everyone and will adopt all necessary drafts. Even the half-day is enough for this. And the remain half of the day may be used for asking questions to the government. Unfortunately we can't avoid of this: the lawmakers must associate with the government and ask questions for keeping their own faces. Which they have never had.
