CLASH IN THE GOVERNMENT

The draft on moving amendments in the law " On defender of human rights" was approved in yesterday sitting of the government held by Robert Kocharian. According to that initiative it is determined that the defender isn't authorized to interfere in the court execution but give the applicant proposals or advice on protesting the judgement or court decree. The international experience was alluded in producing the issue. According to "Aravot's" information when Larisa Alaverdian during the discussion asked to allow her famous position Robert Kocharian said rudely: " Ombudsman has the right of asking questions but not to interfere". The defender of Human rights left the
hall after these words.
Larisa Alaverdian simply said to us yesterday that he considers this amendment groundless.

THE CHRONICLE OF DECLARED REVOLUTION

The "current" revolution of Armenia is foreseen in April. The leader of "New Times" party Aram Karapetian predicted in this way. As a real gentleman he didn't only informed about his projects of the revolution last year but also gave them an opportunity to be improved. But making sure that the current administration personnel doesn't want to be improved he informed yesterday he was going to bereave them of the power in April. Perhaps he wants to prepare them morally preventing them from emotional experiences. Aram Karapetian will go and take the power "with the help of large masses". Let's agree that Kocharian's administration will behave itself very shamefully if it doesn't begin packing its suitcases / till Parakar is open/ after this generous notification. In what country does the opposition inform about the month, the place and even the time of the organized revolution /such an event took place in 1994/ giving the opportunity to the authorities to prepare. In what country does the opposition declare occasionally about the probable revolution but after the first collision with the authorities it changes his mind and take an endless time out for complaining the international institutions of unfair and non democratic rulers. In what other country the political opposition behaves itself such inconsistently and not seriously: it declared about revolutions all the time and then doesn't realize and the time works in favour of strengthening the authorities. But perhaps the purpose of this "revolutionary" opposition is just that?
However sound the word "revolution" it is all the same the revolution won't be realized. For the reason that "the large masses of society" must want it themselves. And as often the opposition declares the day and time of current revolution the large masses of people will want it less. Though everybody wants changes. But first we must believe in having a political force able to realizing the revolution and not hiding behind barricades.
