WHAT WILL WE BELIEVE IN?

Yesterday the officials of different institutions of local governing were phoning "Aravot" complaining against our news that the snow wasn't cleaned from some streets of Yerevan. The officials advise to get information about it from them. What will we believe in now: in our own eyes or the officials' papers?

NOBODY BELIEVES IN NCTR

There you are! Even those mass media, which stood for the commission before accuse the National Commission of Television and Radio of the lack of state way of thinking. And the reason of accusation is that the NCTR has fined the "Hayrenik" TV Company for broadcasting programs of "Mezzo" TV Company without proper licence. The advocates will find out who is right in this case. Perhaps it will be right for the owner of "Hayrenik" TV Company to turn to the court and defend his conception. We can also agree with the colleagues: "Hayrenik" does a good work for TV viewers, especially for kids.
But it isn't spoken about it. It turns out the number of "Hayrenik's" defenders are much more than the number of "A1+" and "Noyyan Tapan's" defenders: these two TV companies are devoid of broadcasting licence for some years by the whim of the authorities and the NCTR's light hand including the rude infringement of RA code. We don't know why, but the fate of these TV companies deprived of the air by the order of presidential residence didn't give any reason to think that the NCTR displayed the lack of state way of thinking. Though the lack of that way of thinking obliged the authorities to close the ways of association with the society. We don't know why the same mass media were signing collective declarations justifying the authorities' limitation of freedom of speech when "A1+" and "Noyyan Tapan" were being closed.
Not doing the justice wrong we may also say that the reason of indignation at fining "Hayrenik" TV Company is that nobody in Armenia expects from the NCTR any taken decision relevant to the Law. For this reason many people don't want to see a juridical problem in the core of this decision. They try to see other reasons. For example backstage struggle against the owner of "Hayrenik" etc. Frankly speaking this version is closer to the reality.
