ARMENIANS ARE ONE
OF THE UNHAPPY NATIONS

According to the yesterday's publication in Danish "Berlingske Tidende" newspaper the professor of Erazmus University in Rotterdam City Rut Veenhoven has studied for the last 20 years how much the inhabitants of every country are satisfied with their lives. And Armenia, Ukraine, Moldova, Zimbabwe and Tanzania took the last places by "criteria of happiness" among 90 countries getting 3,2 points.

ORANGE AVENGERS

The order on giving perpetual pension to the former president of the Ukraine had signed the former government of that country in the person of the deputy of Yanukovich Nikolay Azarov. According to that document Kuchma gets a state country-house with its servants, two cars with drivers, a councilor and two assistants. But yesterday the Supreme Rada approved the mediation of the acting Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko on declaring that order invalid.
And more, Kuchma may find himself in the prison cell instead of county-house as the Ukrainian parliament has also affirmed the deputy polling on arresting the former president. Kuchma is accused of disappearing of the journalist Georgy Gongadze, organizing assault and battery towards the deputy Alexander Iliashkevich. Both these events happened in 2000 and the former opposition which has come to power now brought those accusations can't finding indisputable proofs. In addition Kuchma is accused of illegal secret hearings, corruption and abuse of power.
Will the Ukrainians arrest Kuchma or not? It isn't known yet but it is known that the Genereal Prosecutor of the Ukraine Sviatoslav Piskun "owes" Kuchma for his dismissal in 2003. He is "offended" like Yulia Timoshenko who was imprisoned under Kuchma's ruling. And as it is known the offenders can't help avenging those who offended them when they come to power. But it is much wiser to let alone the ex-presidents. Wise Putin acted just this way: he didn't allow punishing Eltzin when the "red" deputies of Russia wanted to settle a score with the ex-president. And the reason isn't only that Putin insured himself against his "offenders". There is another side: if the ex-presidents are deprived of privileges and arrested just the following day of their dismissal who will want to leave his post. He will declare himself the lifelong president. And now choose yourselves, which is more profitable for our country: perpetual presidents without any prospect of democratic development or the succeedent presidents with guaranties of personal immunity.
