THE SCENE WON'T BE CHANGED

The elections of the mayor of Ijevan city took place on Monday. But irrespective of its results the old /or new/ mayor will hardly change this typical Ijevanian scenery.

WE DON'T NEED IN SUCH ARMENIANS

The new increase of Dollar exchange, social cards, hearings on Karabakh issue, the revolution of Kyrgyzstan don't have any meaning for the Armenians at this moment. The most important event is at hand: Fillip Kirkorov leaves for Armenia. We mustn't allow him to enter the country because a/ he propagandizes Turkish music, b/ doesn't consider him Armenian c/he has offended an Armenian journalist. For these sins 30 youth and patriotic organizations declared Filia as "an unwanted person" and have prepared eggs to fail his concert if the organizers don't stop the concert in time. The representatives of Armenian Show business also don't want to see Fillip in the Armenian land and also for the same reasons. They say that Fillip Kirkorov has even declared that he shames of his Armenian origin. The problem included such large scales that the mayor of Yerevan had to declare that he wasn't authorized to prevent the concert.
Kirkorov isn't a pleasant person at all. Besides he can't behave himself humanly. And he is a singer of middle level. In short the whole Armenian people don't expect his arrival. We must be glad if he indeed refuses his Armenian origins; we have no reasons of being proud of his Armenian roots. And the reason isn't at all that he sings Tarkan's songs. Our youth dance in discos under Tarkan's songs and don't become pro-Turkish at all.
It is more unconvincing the argumentation of refusing Kirkorov's arrival that he has offended the Armenian journalist Irina Aroyan. Just an Armenian woman and not another woman. Just this fact became the matter of anger in our country. But if the journalist was an Azerbaijanian or Tutkish? Must we consider Fillip as a national hero and accept him with open arms? Or must we make a fuss of a dissolute singer if he declares everywhere that he is Armenian. It is a great honour for Kirkorov to consider him as an "unwanted person". He isn't that figure for us against whom a protest action is organized. Let him come and disappear imperceptibly. Be sure that is much more right.
