THE OPPOSITION AND THE DANCE ROUND ARAGATS ARE
INCOMPATIBLE THINGS

The member of "National unity" party and faction Napoleon Azizian produced to the NA chairman the application on leaving the faction. It was read from the NA pulpit. No member of the faction gave any explanation about the occurrence. It is supposed that Aghasi Arshakian will do the same. According to some information Napoleon Azizian's decision connected with his membership to "Nig-Aparan" compatriot organization. We must remind that the members of the opposition faction are the part of a structure led by the public prosecutor.

AGAIN WITHOUT ALTERNATIVE

Who can suspect that Tigran Sargsian's candidacy, as the Central Bank Governor will be affirmed in the National Assembly? That's true it was difficult to expect that Tigran Sargsian would unacceptable only for four deputies. It seemed that the number of deputies who criticized the CB governor especially after slumping in rate of Dollar was more than four. That's why such consent of the deputies is strange at least. But on the other hand there was nothing strange taking into consideration that Tigran Sargsian didn't have alternative for the reason that Robert Kocharian nominated his candidacy to the parliamentary pocket majority and the opposition which had the opportunity to be against it wasn't take part in the voting. It is a matter of discussion whether it is good or bad that Tigran Sargsian will fill the CB Governor's post another 7 years.
This appointment showed once more that there was a complete absence of alternative in our country. And on this occasion the independent Armenia doesn't differ from the Soviet Armenia. The difference perhaps is the quantity of parties. Even more than it must be. But there isn't alternative again. And more, the lack of alternative is sharpened by it as the humankind try to choose the lesser of the existed evils. Consequently it often prefers the corrupted, non-democratic, infringed authorities to the politicians who themselves doesn't know what they want. Most probably they only know that they want to come to power.
Our misfortune is that we don't have alternative. And for this the authorities must be accused less: the authority do and will do its best to have as few rivals as possible. Therefore the officials aren't sincere when they say that they need in strong opposition for being awake. In reality such situation is more than profitable for the authority. In reality the authority dreams of such "rivals" as the famous Tigran Karapetich is. If it continues in this way the general specialist in village spontaneous actions will take up the honorary second place. And who has at that time real authority will be declared as the President.
If it is called alternative the CB Governor's election was also "alternative".
