GROUNDLESS FEAR

Our authorities have worried lately about cooperation of foreign funds and Armenian public organizations. We must upset them that no power will stop their activities.
First, the main part of our public organizations is so-called "GONGO"-s. This term has been formed in the West and is used in case of Public organizations of developing countries; NGO- non-government organization- is a public organization. But there are also Government organized NGO-s /GONGO/, which is formed by the State. Those public organizations get grants and on another hand don't oppress the authorities. And more they create illusions of "civil society". The 90% of foreign funds cooperate just with GONGO-s and don't represent any danger in case of revolution or changeover of political powers.
The 10% of our PO-s are indeed the results of civil activities and the part of it get grants from foreign funds. It is another question how the activities of those PO-s are effective but it is difficult to imagine that the organized seminars, trainings or trips are intended to realize changeover of political powers. If a doctor or teacher leave for Europe for two weeks it is positive, perhaps he won't become a better specialist but he'll see that the world isn't confined only by Armenia, it doesn't leave by our misfortunes that the citizens of other countries have their problems different from ours and work by other much better technologies. At any case it is useful to broad minds. But it will hardly affect a wish to destroy the own authority.
Judging from the last publishing of the press the Armenia authorities become nervous mostly by the activities of German Nauman and Ebert's funds. But even in this case our politicians have nothing to be worried; they are progress funds /in contrast with Soros/, are financed by the budget of Germany and nobody will allow them to create revolutionary cells in Armenia or in other country.
And in general no fund can achieve revolution in any country. The West assist the oppositions of those countries which is a serious alternative for the current authoritarian authorities /and just with that reason it doesn't assist our opposition/ but fund don't play a decisive role here. But as the way of thinking of our leadership is communistic they see " conspiracy international imperialism" everywhere.
