A FEW VICTIMS?

Ilham Aliev said to the interview to the Azerbaijani "Leader TV" that Azerbaijan has nothing to sign in the meeting of the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan which would take place in Warsaw on 15-16 of May. He also added that there were a few victims in the Armenian-Azerbaijani contact zone. The following information indirectly affirms that information. The died, 21 years old citizen of Yerevan Hrant Hovhannisian was sent to the hospital of Ijevan on 9 of May at 18:35. There was a weapon wound on his chest. It was found out that he was passing through the road Voskepar-Kirantc of Tavush marz with his own car VAZ-2106 at about 16:00 yesterday. According to some information shooting were from the Azerbaijani side.

A CHEAP LAND

The U.S. embassy in Armenia denied the information about adding the number of the U.S. marines in Armenia; there are only 5 infantrymen. The reason of this misinformation was perhaps that according to the declaration of the Americans one of the five buildings of the U.S. embassy was for those "commandos". You understand yourselves that giving a whole building to only five persons is luxury even for the USA. The construction of five buildings of the U.S. embassy is also a luxury. There must be serious reasons. First how the Americans explain this phenomenon. As the U.S. Ambassador John Evance said in one of his interviews one of the reason of constructing such an enormous building was to form worthy conditions for realizing the great aid projects for Armenia. Mr. Evance reminded that the USA has granted to Armenia the assistance of about 1,5 milliard Dollars since 1990. The same Evance declared that the new building of the U.S. Embassy near the Yerevan Lake symbolized the continuance of relations between the USA and Armenia to which Washington gives a great importance. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Vardan Oskanian who was present in the inauguration of the buildings affirmed that thought.
So if we summarize all these we'll see that a/the Americans built such an enormous building to correspond it to the 1,5 milliard Dollars of assistance granted to Armenia, b/the belief of continuation of the relations between Armenia and America will strengthen in the hurts of the Armenian authorities and Armenian people. There isn't spoken about regional special strategic interests. Anyway the U.S. interests towards Armenia isn't more than towards Russia, France, Azerbaijan where the embassies have unassuming sizes. It's another matter that the Governments of France or Russia won't sell to America as a property 90000 square km land by 5 million Dollars. They appraise their lands more expensive. But we don't save our lands /perhaps we have a lot/. And the Americans didn't miss the opportunity. And besides it is much important for the 5 infantrymen to live in a spacious building.
