THE LESSER AMONG THE EVILS

The conference of the Armenian writers opened yesterday. According to the conversations of the corridors of the conference Levon Ananian will be re-elected as the chairman of that organization. The latter is the most real candidate first of all for the reason that doesn't want to become a talented writer and doesn't affect negative emotions to those who have such a desire.

THEY DON'T AFRAID OF THE LAWS

The deputies were offended in vain this time, suspecting that they paid attention to the strengthening of punishments for traffic infringements worrying about their own persons. As if they are upset to be punished for driving the "Hammer" with dark glasses and special signals by all traffic infringements. In this case all above-mentioned accusations are groundless. As neither the NA deputies nor the NA chairman are afraid of the strengthened punishments. And those deputies who didn't argue with the Minister of Justice on this occasion and voted for the suggested changes without objections just they thought of their own interests by the following logic. It is all the same; no inspector will dare to use the new code against the representative of the authority and to fine him.
Allow you whatever you want on the roads if you are a deputy. Minister, oligarch or district ruler, the inspector will only salute you. As the inspectors "gaishniks" know by hurt the numbers of the cars of all influential persons. Only the common drivers who don't fill posts or don't have a high sponsorship will suffer. The same thing can be said about the Electoral Code or the Constitution. And the accusations that the interests of the deputies round these important questions are much lesser than towards the punishments of traffic infringements isn't correct. Our authorities including the executive one have nothing to be afraid of the Constitution and Electoral Code. As it was in case of the inspector nobody will dare to call to the responsibility to the current President, Minister or any deputy of the coalition for infringing the Constitution or the Electoral Code however they changed and reformed. In short the deputies who use the privilege of being the part of the coalition can be equally indifferent towards the traffic laws and the electoral code and the Constitution. As they have infringed those laws, they will continue infringing as well. And they wanted to defend the citizens at any case. For what we are thankful to them.
