WHAT IMPRESSIONS HAVE THE CO-REPORTERS GOT?

The session of the PACE monitoring commission took place on 18 of May where it was supposed beforehand that the reporters on Armenia Yaskernia and Colombie would inform about the results of their visit to our country. But the co-reporters haven't taken part in the session of the commission. The member of the monitoring commission Shavarsh Kocharian informed to "Aravot" that their oral report would probably be discussed in the session,
which would take place from 1-2 of June. He also mentioned that the discussion of commitments of Armenia would be postponed till the autumn after the end of constitutional process.

A SENSATIONAL FACT

Nobody suspected from the beginning that the Prime Minister's 27 years old son Taron Margarian would win in the elections of the district ruler in Avan community of Yerevan. It would also happen in that case if he had alternative. The fact that he was the only candidate showed that Taron Margaraian's possible opponents didn't also suspect that he would win and they would loose. Consequently they have decided not to make efforts in vain. But the interesting isn't the fact of victory of the Prime Minister's son but the way how it has happened. According to the preliminary information 14 972 persons took part in the elections from 35, 5 thousands. About 96% of electors voted for the only candidate Taron Margarian. 324 voters were against, 217 ballots were invalid. Taking into consideration the fact that Taron Margarian was the only candidate, it is already sensation the 96% votes given to him. He is just the second Sahakashvili for whom the 96% of electors voted. But Taron Margarian in contrast to Sahakashvili isn't an influential politician and revolutionist. In addition to this he is too young for filling the post of the district ruler. In short if we believe in the information of the Central Electoral Commission, we can suppose that 96% of population voted for Taron Margarian as he is the son of the Prime Minister. And the father in most probability will try to assist his son in the community affairs. As the son of the Prime Minister will take care of the Avan population. Such way of thinking has its logic. But the risk isn't less as every PM can be dismissed at any moment. For example the President of the Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko was about to dismiss Yulia Timoshenko. Though there were too close. Robert Kocharian can act against Andranik Margarian in that way. They can quarrel once, can't they? Everything is possible. Let's imagine how the Avan population will be disappointed if the PM is dismissed and a person from "Orinats Erkir" is appointed. At that time someone can be sorry that he must bear a person in the post of district ruler whose main merit is his father's post.
