THE MEETING WAS FAILED
THE SAME STORY We don't know if anybody has already read Charlie
Aznavour's new book one of the chapter of which is about the great chanson's visit
to Armenia in 1964. In particularly there was a story that how Aznavour's grandmother
who lived in Armenia and whom he saw for the first time didn't manage with his
other relatives to take part in her grandsons concert as the hall was occupied
by the party officials of high rank and their families. In short judging from
Aznavour's book though the meeting with the Soviet Armenia was touching but the
singer didn't like the ruling regime. Forty years have passed from those days.
The Soviet Armenia with its party nomenclature doesn't exist but seeing what happened
yesterday we could affirm unambiguously that nothing has been changed in our democratic
country at all. Exclusively the officials were gathering in the first rows of
the hall of the cinema Moscow and in whose books the singer put his signature.
They appeared with their bodyguards who pushed the common and real admirers of
the singer aside who were waiting for the singer two hours before. | CONSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA Election Code of the Republic of Armenia
