NEW CANNON OF THE REPUBLICANS

The head of RPA youth structure, the NA deputy Armen Ashotian who is the leader of famous "hawks" declared in the Parliament yesterday; "I wouldn't ever think that the concentration of cynicism will be so high. I would never think that the concentration of insolence and impudence can be so high in speaking about the mother law of the country from this pulpit." And then he made such a speech that was the best proof of his remark. For example he spoke to the address of the oppositionists; "They aren't guilty, let's be tolerance. The only political organ in those politicians is tongue".

HEADS OF KOGHAK

Armenian Parliament. Discussion of Constitutional amendments. Break in the NA buffet. "How many koghaks /type of fish/ will you eat?"- one of the deputies asked to another. "Irrespective of sizes and souse", - the deputy answered after thinking a little. About 10 minutes pass after discussion of the heads of koghaks then the deputies began speaking on "khash" / by tradition it can be eaten from today and our elite organize a pilgrimage to the restaurants at the bottom of Aragats mountain when khash is served. After speaking a little about khash the elected representatives of the people come to the conclusion that the best khash is served in Vokhchaberd. Silence was established after these "discussions". Suddenly one of deputies cried with dissatisfaction; "What are we engaged in? Instead of earning money we are busy in that Constitution.
The conversation is true, perhaps with some changes of words. And that dialogue is more essential and specific for our parliament and our public life than the speeches made from the NA pulpit for three days where our deputies were trying to be polite. That's true they often didn't succeed in it. The representatives of the authority and opposition were making "political speeches, instead they didn't far from the above mentioned khash eaters. Tell please what connection do Artashes Geghamian's speeches in international instances have with the constitutional amendments? And what connection does the circumstance have that how Gagik Kostandian's children studied in the University or what color Hmayak Hovhannisian's hair are? Such level of thought and culture is lower from the level of the RA middle citizen and this proves once more that these deputies aren't elected.
But in reality our public processes are led not by the authority or opposition but the above mentioned ":heads of koghaks", the bog which certainly vote as the authority declares. But as a compensation they have so wide opportunities to destroy the political, economic and culture field that I'm inclined to think that the authority depends on them more than they depend on the authority. Since those persons are deputies there is no mean to speak of other things.
