"HOT POINT" IN BUZAND STREET

These barricades are constructed in the neighbor yard of Buzand 23. Schoolboys celebrated September 1 fighting with the officials of Compulsory Fulfillment of Court Instances. And the next day early in the morning instead of going to school they were sitting up at the fire for protecting their parents from "state conquerors". They were hiding their faces like true rebels.

The recent official propaganda affirms once more the supposition that the authority will rig the referendum in favor "yes" which will take place in November. The scheme of classical news subject of the "pro authority" TV Companies / all of them are like it/ is the following. The admission of the presenter/ in take/; "Unfortunately the opposition didn't display enough state approach and didn't take part in the process of democratization of our country…" Journalist /out of take/; "Unfortunately, the opposition of Armenia wasn't strong enough to be out of ambitions..." Vahan Hovhannisian or Tigran Torosian / synchronous/; "I must mention with regret that our opposition didn't display the necessary civil characteristics. Irrespective of elementary rules of journalism any representative from the opposition isn't given an opportunity in those "news" subjects for a half-minute to explain why it didn't "display" and "wasn't strong enough".
It's another problem that the strategy of the opposition is indeed vulnerable in my opinion. If it is against this package of Constitutional amendments then it had to use the NA pulpit for propagandizing "no" to the Constitutional amendments and not for lyrical digressions on general themes. And they had to say clearly that what points of amendments were omitted for them. But if the oppositionists consider those amendments as a "progress" / there was also such intention/ then they must propagandize "yes" together with the authority. Now, the potential voting mass of our opposition /and it is the overwhelming majority of our population/ suspects to boycott the referendum, to go and say no or taking into consideration the progress to say "yes". Such not clear situation makes easy the possibility of falsifying the referendum.
For example for me the most omitted part of the amendments is the removal of the obstacle of double citizenship. In particularly it may mean that those our compatriots who "were arranging parties" in prosperous abroad in '90's today will have those rights, which the Armenians who suffered from the war and blockade have. But as our parliamentary opposition like the NA majority consists of national powers, which like the Diaspora, nobody speaks about it.
