JAVAKHQ WON'T HAVE AUTONOMY

Three real autonomies will be in Georgia; Ajaria, Abkhazia and South Osetia. The Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Nogaideli declared in Yerevan yesterday answering to one of the journalists' question that how he treats the announcement of Armenian public organizations of Javakhq where the wish of Javakhq autonomy is expressed. Zurab Nogaideli also said that the announcement of some public organizations don't express the opinion of the whole population.

HEIKY CAME TO OUR YARD

The negotiations round the project of collaboration with Armenia in the policy of European Neighborhood are being delayed "for the existed problems with one of the EU participant-country and Azerbaijan". The UE special representative in South Caucasus Heiky Tavitie who is in Yerevan for the territorial meaningless visit said during the press interview in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday. He didn't specify the identification of the "participant-country" but it became clear from further questions that it was speaking about Cyprus. By Taivitie's words The EU has adopted the principle of saving "balanced policy" when it was taking a decision about integrating three countries of South Caucasus in the "Policy of European neighborhood" project. He hoped that they would manage to solve the existed problems of the EU member-country and Azerbaijan till the middle of October. And if it didn't happen Talvitie doesn't exclude that he will carry out more personalized policy towards the countries of South Caucasus.
In most probability the reason of delaying the negotiations with Yerevan is the decision of Azerbaijan which has been taken lately about opening a direct air communication with North Cyprus /Turkish/. As a result the authorities of South Caucasus put a veto on the discussion of project of EU activities with Azerbaijan.
It was also spoken about rather actual problem of Turkey membership to the EU and the known decision of Euro Court. V. Oskanian mentioned on this occasion; "We consider positive the decision of European Court it's quite natural." Oskanian didn't exclude that the issue of reopening the Armenian-Turkish border can be discussed on 3 of October during the EU-Turkey negotiations. "If Turkey wants to become the EU member it must look like other participants of that union, it must settle its problems with neighbors and recognize its past,"- he said.
