TRANSITIONAL ANTHEM OF ARMENIA NO COMMENT Robert Kocharian's and Ilham Aliev's closed meeting was held in the RF Embassy in Minsk. According to «Arminfo», neither the presidents nor the OSCE Minsk group cochairmen made any comment. The representatives of mass media weren't allowed to enter the hall of the Embassy. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosian who was in Brazil lately visited the working area of that carnival group where the enormous allegoric machine which will produce the history and culture of Armenia is being constructed and which will be demonstrated in the carnival in 2007. SAD FIGURES “Aravot’s” permanent partner “APR group” sociologic group has made its following research by our newspaper's order. The research was called «Political parties and public». About 663 citizens of Yerevan have been polled from November 21-26. The first question, which the sociology have given to Yerevan citizens, is the following: «In your opinion, what role does the parties play?” The opinions of our nationals are very interesting. The majority is sure /39,7%/ that they play no role. 9,7% thinks that the parties divide the society and 9% thinks that they fight for the authority and positions. 4,7% of citizens thinks that they don't need in parties at all. And 5,1% of Yerevan citizens think that the parties are engaged in charity. «APR group» has also made a polling about the parties' reputation «if the NA elections are held in this week» by question. Frankly speaking I didn't know to publish those figures or no because those parties with less indexes will affirm that the results are rigged. Anyway I decided to publish and here the results are. «Prosperous Armenia» /22%/ has more reputation among the Yerevan citizens. RPA, ARF, OEP, Tigran Karapetich’s «People's Party» have great chances to be involved in the parliament / 5%, 5%, 4,4%, 4,1%/. Three opposition parties, PP, NU, «Republic» have fewer indexes. 23,2% of citizens aren't going to vote anyone, 13,1% declared that they won't participate in the elections, 8,1% haven’t decided yet. These figures make me sad. They prove that our citizens are indifferent towards our ideas and projects. Aram Abrahamian |
